About Groundwork
Groundwork Psychological Services is an independent practice in the heart of Cincinnati's Mt. Adams neighborhood. We offer in-person and virtual therapy for adults — the kind that builds real, lasting change, one session at a time.
Why Groundwork exists
We exist to improve the well-being of people across the Greater Cincinnati area — of all backgrounds, identities, and histories — through therapy that's thoughtful, evidence-based, and genuinely human.
The values behind the work
Authenticity & Collaboration.
You're the expert on your own life. Therapy works best when it's a partnership — when you can bring your whole self into the room and I bring mine alongside.
Social Justice, Diversity, & Advocacy.
Culture, identity, and power shape every person's experience. I honor that — and I'm committed to ethical, affirming, and culturally competent care for anyone who walks through the door.
Evidence-Based, Not Dogmatic.
I use approaches with solid research behind them, but I'm not rigid about it. The science guides the process; your experience steers the course.
Curiosity Over Quick Fixes.
Real change asks questions that open things up, not ones that check boxes.

Two entrances: the big blue door on St. Gregory St. (between Kroner Dry Cleaner and Flora & Flair), or through the terrace on Pavilion St. adjacent to Bow Tie Cafe. Once inside, the office is directly left off the elevator, or at the end of the hall from the stairs.
Free street parking is usually easy to find around Mt. Adams; if you'd like tips on the best spots, just ask. There's also a paid garage on St. Gregory St. (across from the UDF) for $5.
The first step is usually the hardest one.
A free 15-minute consultation is a no-pressure way to ask questions, get a feel for the work, and see if we're a good match.
